EkGuru › Contact
Fill the form in and press send. It reaches a person, not a ticket system — and the reply comes to the address you type, usually within a day.
EkGuru is small and deliberately so. There is no support desk and no chatbot; Prakash, who runs the site, reads what arrives. That is slower than a large marketplace and it is also why the answer usually comes from someone with the power to fix the thing you are writing about — a wrong spelling on a guide, a tutor's availability, a price that looks off.
Fill this in and press send. It goes straight to a person — there is no ticket system and no bot. Put the address you actually read in the email box, because that is where the reply goes.
Pick the closest one in the form. It is not a routing system — everything lands in the same inbox — but it tells us what kind of answer you need before we have read a word, and that makes the reply faster and more useful.
If a form is not convenient, write directly to EkGuruLearning@gmail.com. The form is better for one practical reason: it stamps your message with a reference and the page you came from, so a follow-up two weeks later can be matched to the original without either of us digging.
Quote the reference from your confirmation email — it looks like
EG-XXXXXX. With it, we can find your request in seconds. Without
it, we are searching an inbox by name and date.
Usually within a day. Messages are read by a person, not a system, and that person is in India (UTC+5:30) — so if you write from Europe or the Americas the reply often lands overnight for you. If two days pass with nothing, check your spam folder before writing again: an automated acknowledgement from a small site is exactly the sort of mail that gets filtered.
Prakash, who runs EkGuru, reads every message. There is no support team, no ticket queue and no chatbot. That is the honest state of a site this size, and it is why the answer usually comes from someone who can actually change the thing you are writing about.
No. There is no account system on EkGuru at all. Fill in three fields and press send. Nothing is stored on this website — there is no database here — your message is simply emailed to us and a copy is emailed to you.
Please do send it. Devanagari typed by hand goes wrong in small ways — a missing matra, the wrong nukta, a halant in the wrong place — and a native speaker spotting it is worth more than any amount of proofreading on our side. Pick “A Hindi spelling looks wrong” in the topic list and say which page. Corrections are made on the next build, usually the same week.
You can ask about one, but the booking form on a tutor's own page is faster: it goes straight to that tutor with your level, your timezone and the slot you want already attached. Use this form if you are not sure which tutor suits you, and say what you want to be able to do in Hindi — that is more useful to us than a level.
Choose “I want to teach on EkGuru” in the topic list, or use the Become a Tutor page which asks the specific things we need to know. Tutors here are native Hindi speakers who teach one to one. We are small and we read every application properly, which also means we are slower than a marketplace.
Reply to you. That is the whole list. It is not added to a mailing list, there is no newsletter to be added to, and it is not passed to anyone. The message is delivered by a third-party form relay because this site has no server of its own — the same way the booking form works.
No, and that is deliberate. Everything is handled in writing so there is a record both sides can refer back to, and so that a tutor's personal number is never published anywhere on this site.
Two things answer themselves faster than we can:
Our tutors are native Hindi speakers in India teaching one to one over video. You can send a booking request without writing to us first.
