Marathi worksheet — sample

Five questions from the Marathi quiz bank on this page’s topic. Pick a topic and press Make worksheet for a fresh sheet, or print this one as it is.

1. What does नमस्कार mean?

2. How do you say 'thank you' in Marathi?

3. The letter ळ is…

4. तुम्ही कसे आहात? means…

5. उद्या means…

Answers

1. hello — नमस्कार (namaskār) is the standard formal hello — to elders, officials, anyone you respect.

2. धन्यवाद — धन्यवाद (dhanyavād). माफ करा is excuse-me/sorry — don't mix them.

3. a retroflex L (tongue curled back) — ळ (ḷ) is Marathi's signature sound. बाळ (child) vs बाल (hair) — get it right and Maharashtrians will beam.

4. How are you? (formal) — तुम्ही (tumhī) is formal 'you' — safe with every stranger.

5. tomorrow — उद्या (udyā) = tomorrow. Yesterday is काल — Marathi splits what Hindi/Bengali काल covers.

How the Marathi worksheet is built

Choose a topic and a number of prompts, and the builder lays out a printable Marathi worksheet with writing space and an answer section at the end. It is designed for paper: one topic per sheet, prompts in a readable size, answers on their own block so they can be folded away. Printing from the browser prints just the sheet, with the watermark and this site's name kept on it.

Marking and reusing a sheet

Write your answers first, then check them against the answer block and note which Marathi words needed a second attempt — those are the ones to review tomorrow. Nothing is stored for you, so print a fresh sheet for a fresh attempt; a set of five finished sheets makes an honest revision pack.

The score is a recognition score, not a fluency measure — nothing here is a certified test.
