Type the Punjabi word in Gurmukhi. Small differences in spacing or punctuation count as “minor format”, not wrong.
How the Punjabi typing check works
You get a Roman prompt and type the word in Gurmukhi. The trainer compares what you typed with the stored spelling and accepts spacing and equivalent punctuation as minor format rather than marking them wrong — this is a practice tool, not an exam. Every prompt comes from the Punjabi vocabulary on this site, so what you type is what you will actually read later.
Why typing beats re-reading
Recognition is cheap: a Punjabi word can look familiar long before you can produce it. Typing forces the harder step — recalling the Gurmukhi letters and their order — and the mistakes it exposes are exactly the letters you keep mixing up. Ten words a day is a better routine than a hundred once a month.
