Myanmar has a long-established Indian-origin population, particularly in Yangon and Mandalay, with roots in the colonial-era migration across the Bay of Bengal, and Hindi remains in active use within parts of those communities. There is a structural gift here that few learners are told about: the Burmese script is another descendant of Brahmi, so it is built on the same principle as Devanagari — a consonant carries an inherent vowel, and vowel signs attach around it rather than sitting in a line. If you read Burmese, the logic of Hindi writing is already familiar and only the shapes are new. Shared Pali vocabulary supplies a further layer of recognisable words.

Two honest caveats. That figure uses standard time and ignores daylight saving, which moves it by an hour for part of the year in many countries; and some countries span several zones. Devanagari is easy to get slightly wrong when it is typed by hand — a missing matra, the wrong nukta. If something here looks off to you, trust a native speaker over this page and please tell us so it gets fixed — it takes a moment and a real person reads it. Romanised spellings are a guide to the sound, not a standard: there is no single official way to write Hindi in Latin letters.
