Peru's advantage for a Hindi learner is not Spanish, it is Quechua. Quechua is verb-final and marks grammatical roles with suffixes attached to nouns — which is structurally the same idea as Hindi's postpositions, and it means the sentence order that forces English speakers to rebuild every sentence is already natural to you. If you speak any Quechua at all, even passively, Hindi's grammar will feel less foreign than it does to a Madrid learner. Spanish adds the usual real gifts: five clean vowels close to Hindi's, and a rolled r that transfers straight to र. The script and the retroflex consonants are the new work.

Two honest caveats. That figure uses standard time and ignores daylight saving, which moves it by an hour for part of the year in many countries; and some countries span several zones. Devanagari is easy to get slightly wrong when it is typed by hand — a missing matra, the wrong nukta. If something here looks off to you, trust a native speaker over this page and please tell us so it gets fixed — it takes a moment and a real person reads it. Romanised spellings are a guide to the sound, not a standard: there is no single official way to write Hindi in Latin letters.
