Tamil pronunciation
ழ், three n's, two r's — every tricky sound, one by one, with examples.

The three n's sort by tongue position: ந் (alveolar — English-like n, as in நல்ல), ன் (dental — tongue on teeth, as in மீன்), ண் (retroflex — curled back, as in கண்). Say na-na-na sliding the tongue from ridge to teeth to roof — three letters, one glide.
The two r's split soft and hard: ர் is a single flap — மரம் (maram — tree), பெரிய (periya — big) — while ற் trills hard — பறவை (paravai — bird), வெற்றி (verri — victory). English ears merge them; Tamil meaning doesn't. Practise pairs daily until your tongue files them separately.
Dental versus retroflex stops: த் (teeth — தமிழ், தண்ணீர்) against ட் (roof — படம், வீடு). Hold a finger to your lips: dentals puff forward, retroflexes pop upward. Ten minutes of த-ட alternation retunes the mouth within a week.
The rest behave kindly: ச is cha at word start (சாப்பாடு) softening to sa inside words (பேசு), க hardens and softens by position (கடை, மகன்), and long vowels simply hold double — ஆ, ஈ, ஊ. Tamil spelling mirrors speech faithfully: pronounce what you see, and you are right nine times in ten.

Questions learners ask
Yes — ந் (alveolar, like English n), ன் (dental, tongue on teeth), ண் (retroflex, tongue curled back). மன் (man — mind/mud) versus மண் (mann — soil) is a real minimal pair; natives hear the difference instantly.
ர is a light flap (like the dd in American cuter); ற is a hard trill (rolled r). மரம் (maram — tree) versus மறம்? — flap soft, trill strong. Practise மரம் daily; the flap arrives first.
Dental consonants touch the teeth (த், ந்), retroflexes curl the tongue back (ட், ண்). தரம் (tharam — quality) versus டமாரம்? — teeth versus roof. Exaggerate at first; subtlety follows.
