Telugu verbs
వెళ్ళు, రా, తిను — twelve verbs that run daily life, and how they bend.

Twelve verbs carry daily life: వెళ్ళు (go), రా (come), తిను (eat), త్రాగు (drink), చదువు (read/study), రాయి (write), చేయి (do), మాట్లాడు (speak), ఇవ్వు (give), తీసుకో (take), ఉండు (be/stay), చూడు (see). Memorise these stems and you can order food, find toilets, make friends and survive beautifully.
Stems bend by person in the present: నేను వెళ్తున్నాను (I go), నువ్వు వెళ్తున్నావు (you familiar go), మీరు వెళ్తున్నారు (you formal go), అతను వెళ్తున్నాడు (he goes). The -తున్న- (tunna) infix marks present tense across nearly every verb — one infix, hundreds of verbs, instant sentences.
Polite commands add -అండి: వెళ్లండి (please go), రండి (please come), తినండి (please eat), చెప్పండి (please say). This one ending turns every order into an invitation — it is the most useful suffix in Telugu, worth more than a hundred nouns.
Negation and existence close the kit: ఉంది (undi — it is / there is) anchors locations — పుస్తకం టేబుల్ మీద ఉంది (the book is on the table). లేదు (ledu — there isn't) removes — డబ్బు లేదు (no money). Twelve verbs plus ఉంది/లేదు: the engine room of Telugu.

- Do
- It is / there is
Context check. For Telugu verbs, “It is / there is” belongs to a particular setting. A common mistake is to treat an English gloss as universal; read the language-specific note above and ask a fluent speaker when local usage differs.

Questions learners ask
Stems are orders to friends — వెళ్ళు! (go!), రా! (come!), తిను! (eat!). Polite speech adds endings: వెళ్లండి (please go), రండి (please come). Learn stems first, politeness second, and never order a stranger.
నేను వెళ్తున్నాను (I go), నువ్వు వెళ్తున్నావు (you go), అతను వెళ్తున్నాడు (he goes). Person-markers on every verb — drill one verb through all persons and the pattern owns you.
లేదు (ledu — no/not) negates existence — నాకు తెలియదు uses -దు for verbs (I don't know). Telugu negation splits by word type; learn లేదు for things, వద్దు (vaddu — don't want) for refusals.
