Suprabhaat is not wrong — it is literary. Saying it to a shopkeeper is a little like greeting someone with "good morrow". You will be understood, and gently amused at.
शुभ संध्या (shubh sandhya) for good evening and शुभ रात्रि (shubh raatri) for good night exist in exactly the same way — correct, written, rarely spoken. Namaste covers all of them, which is genuinely useful for a beginner: one word, any hour, never wrong.
Between family, "good night" in English is completely standard. If you want Hindi, शुभ रात्रि is used far more than shubh sandhya ever is, especially in a message.
